What is coast guard cutter chase?

USCGC Chase (WHEC-718) is a former United States Coast Guard high endurance cutter, now serving as a museum ship at the Tall Ships Museum in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was commissioned in 1968 and served for more than 30 years, until her decommissioning in 1994. During her service, she conducted numerous search and rescue missions, law enforcement operations, and support missions for scientific research. She also played a prominent role in the United States' response to the Cuban refugee crisis of the 1980s. The Chase was named after Salmon P. Chase, the United States Secretary of the Treasury under President Abraham Lincoln. She was the seventh ship in the Hamilton-class cutter series and was powered by two diesel engines and two gas turbines, giving her a top speed of over 28 knots. The Chase had a displacement of 3,250 tons and a crew of around 180 officers and enlisted personnel.
